I used to use a lot of demerol for my CH's. It is not usually used for long term pain therapy. There are other narcotics more suited for long term use. I have had great success using methadone occasionaly I will use demerol for control of long lasting migraines which I also get. It is important to have a Dr. who specializes in long term opiate type meds. If you do it wrong it will indeed make you worse. If interested Email me for more info or just post questions as I have described my therapy a couple times on the board. See archives if interested. Don't give up Mike L
