I have been drinking coffee since childhood. It is really my favorite drink any time. I can fall asleep with a cup of coffee in my hand (wet chair and floor, what a mess).
I always drink it during an attack - I also hold the hot liquid along my upper gumline to soothe the CH pain there, and I breath steam from the mug which also soothes me and helps with the nasal stuffiness.
I wonder whether iced coffee would help those who prefer to treat their pain with something cold.
