Speaking as a member, the mere establishing of OUCH has given me a new boldness in talking to others, mainly non-sufferers, to try to explain and drum up support for this disease.
I have also felt more confident in dealing with my doctors and always give them websites, and since April, a copy of the newsletter. I have received only positive reactions from Dr's. which tells me we need to take a stronger hand in getting the information out there.
105 members have already made a difference!
