Waterdog, the mushrooms Graham has found are psilocybe semilanceata (Liberty Cap), not psilocybe cubensis.

P. cubensis is a MUCH larger mushroom than p. semilanceata, (each specimen of p. cubensis is typically ten to twenty times heavier) so your dosage recommendations are woefully inadequate for Graham's purposes.

Since Liberty Caps are so small, many more of them are required to be effective. A "standard" recreational dose of Liberty Cap mushrooms (if there is such a thing as a standard dose) is generally considered to be about 40 to 50 average size specimens, stems and caps included. Flash has determined that only about one quarter of that amount is required to kill the beast -- just enough to barely detect a slight "buzz". Hence my recommendation of ten to twelve mushrooms.
