I take Amerge, which is a vasoconstrictor, but you assume wrongly that it does nothing for the seratonin level. It is a seratonin agonist, which I assume means that it aids in bringing the chemicals up to the correct levels. I'm not a scientist, but I asked a pharmacist friend of mine, and that's kinda what she told me.

And yes, I definitely think that the seratonin/or lack of seratonin, is a major cause of our terrible pain.
