Dear Benniesue
I have also thought there must be a connection.
My husband who is a sufferer works as a milkman so his sleeping habits are different. he gets up at 2.30 - 3.30 am and sleeps again 2.00 - 6.00pm then sleeps again at night around 9.30 - 10.00pm
At weekends he may stay awake all day missing his afternoon sleep but making up for it at night. It might be useful to do a survey of peoples lifestyles and sleeping habits. He also found out that he has an uncle who suffered from CH. and he did some shift work and long haul flying when he was younger.
