Absolutely! There has to be a messanger that calls
specifically for it to the specific tissue. Not
to open old wounds, but I recall a post exchange
between Ted, or Tod, Todd here not too long ago, in
which I was noting this specificity. It has to be.
Otherwise, like I noted to Todd/Ted/Tod, we would
be experiencing CH, along with flushing, vomiting,
diarrea, etc, etc...What calls 5-HT to a specific
task/target organ? Particularly, as I understand,
it is produced only in one place in the body?

Miguel

P.S.: Perhaps it is just as simple a plasma concentrations.
When certain concentration is reached, wham X effect, higher
conc., wham! another effect. I found interesting
the 5-HT gate note in the article. Perhaps it is
part of the physiological system to selectively act on certain
organs upon demand.
