I am an outside sales rep for a movie company. I took the job ten years ago when my daughter was little because it enabled me to make my own schedule. I'm not crazy about it, but I hang on to it because it's flexible. On the days I CAN work, I just double up on my appointments. Luckily, I'm episodic so it really is only a hassle twice a year for a few weeks.
BUT, I know how you feel. Last year during a convention, I took an account out to dinner. Along with some executives from Disney. We sat at the table and I got a cluster. Went to the bathroom and stayed in there until my boss came to check on me. He put me in a cab back to the hotel. Everyone was pretty nice but I was really embarrased. Turns out one of the Disney guys has had CH for ten years and explained it to everyone else.
But...I know I've been fortunate. I've read posts from people on this board who've lost jobs. Ever think of going independant??
