i was told that tough meds like imitrex, oxygen,
and other things have got to be written by a neuro
over a doc. You'll probably need a reference. But
from most accounts, if the drug is addicting kind... it's
tough to get. I keep some imitrex pills on hand... but
also keep some other stuff around for when they start... and
keep a week's supply since i need my neuro each year to review
my case then he writes my scrips.. that takes a week... so,
i'm like you... i want the drugs in my house for the surprise
visits! Oh, one reason my doc also said it has to be a neuro is
cause the meds are so pricey and insurance won't okay it for just
a regular md. hopefully this educated you some.
