Diamonds puts all HA patients on a Tyramine free diet.Tyramine will produce "triggers" for many types of HA... not necessarily CH. Even one of their docs told me that.....but give it a try. Unfortunately, foods provide NO trigger for me (other than alcohol). The Histamine process is actually called Histamine Desensitization. They actually infuse (give IV) bags of histamine to you over several days....usually 11. CH used to be called "histamine ha's". Like the theory used with allergy shots, the purpose is to desensitize you to the histamine and dectrease or stop the HA's. Again the medicial community is very skeptical re: this practice. I had been chronic for 2 years at the time....sorry no luck.
