I worked on the research of renin-dependent anti-hypertensives
for a number of years with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
As I recall, part of the effective therapeutic use
of ACE inhibitors is to make resting bp renin-dependent.
To achieve such, patients are given doses of
Lasix, a diuretic. This results in an increase
in resting blood pressure. I wonder if anyone here
has tried Lasix, or any other diuretic for a prolonged
period of time?
If so, what effect did it have on CH?
