Ergotamine (Cafergot) has been my mainstay for 30 years. It's what works best for me. Over the years I've added other meds. to it but always kept the ercaf. This last bout I took verapimil 360mg/day which lessened the attacks, and with the atart of each HA i took cafergot tablets and lidocaine nasal spray. I knocked out most of the HAs in less than 15 minutes. There are always a couple of 10s that break through but all-in-all it was livable.
