I know there are alot of anti-narcotic
attitudes on this board, but I prefer oxygen
and percodan to any other treatment I've recieved
for clusters. I'm not afraid of addiction because
I only take them for pain and not for recreational
purposes. I agree that percodan will not stop
the headache but it does take the edge off of
the pain while you are waiting for the oxygen
to work. Oxygen will work all by itself if you
can get to it before your headache gets you.
Most of the time you are waking up because
you already have a headache and its too late
for the oxygen to work. I've gone 5 to 6 hours
on oxygen and percodan with the headache going
full cycle and I'm grateful that I have the
percodans to help cope with the pain.
