Hi Bill,
Welcome! I am chronic also, this is my 31st year.
I have been using o2 about 5 years. I think it's
a godsend. I don't get much help with it for a
full blown attack but it works wonders for shadows
and I can ahbort most smaller attacks if I can use
it soon. That is the critical part, to be able to
use it early enough.
I don't (can't) carry it around with me so I use
it just at home. That's ok though because my
hardest times are at night.
You have to be concerned about the flow rate and
type of mask to use. See previous messages.
It is relatively inexpensive compared to the amount
spent on OTC meds that do nothing. Give it a try.
One other thing, if you are chronic and in pain all
the time, find a Neurosurgeon who will do a radio-
frequency trigeminal rhizotomy on you. I did and I
think it made quite a difference. Won't get rid of it
but can make life bearable for you with daily meds.
Wishing You PFDAN!
Larry
