I've had wonderful success with Maxalt. Used to take Imitrex and then the migraines changed and Imitrex did no good. I went to the emergency room twice with the awful headaches and then my doctor prescribed Maxalt.
Been on Maxalt for over a year. Headaches feel like sinus headaches when they are coming on. I get a lump at the top of my forehead in the center of the right hand side just below the hairline. The pain is on the whole right side of my head.
I usually take Excedrin when a headache starts, then try Sine-U-Tab because it feels like a sinus type headache, then move to the Maxalt. I should just go right to the Maxalt...the sooner I take the Maxalt, the less time it seems to take for it to work. If I suffer a few hours before taking it, it seems to take an hour to work. But if I take the Maxalt when I feel it coming on, it works in minutes.
I keep a Maxalt in my purse at all times now!
