I've been in a cluster set since June. My Dr. prescribed oxygen in July and I just received it at the end of September! I'm on an Aetna HMO. When they delivered the oxygen I was not given a face mask. Without the face mask, oxygen treatment doesn't help at all. I finally received a face mask and not the oxygen allows me to cope better with an attack -- I don't feel like dying.
It took several phone calls and my husband fighting with Apria Healthcare before the oxygen was delivered.
Keep pushing. Atleast pure oxygen doesn't have the side effects of the medicines I've been on.
