Yes, yes, prednisone will hurt you...if you use it long term. I know people who have been on it for years before bad side effects started. It sounds like your CH cycle is not over yet. You may want to wean slowly off the prednisone and try other things. Usually the cut-off time for prednisone is a few weeks or a month. I've seen prednisone used a lot for different illnesses (short-term use) and it is a wonderful drug. You run into problems if you use it too long.
