Sorry to hear that you suffer both from CH and TN.
In my experience carbamazepine didn't put a dent to CH, all it did was that I felt like a zombie. Furthermore, the top shot neurologists of the DMKG (German migraine and headache society) say that carbamazepin is useless against CH.
Many on this board have success with Verapamil as a preventative and oxygen as an abortive, suggest that to your doc.
