Amy,

Just wanted to let you know I'm in the same boat you are. My son was born 3 months ago, and my clusters returned 3 weeks ago. I was told to stop breastfeeding, but so far I have put off taking the medications, and if I do have to take something for pain, I just pump & toss for the 4 hours after taking. I actually have had some luck with the water treatment posted on this site. When I first read it I thought it was ridiculous, but in desperation not to give up breastfeeding I tried it, and it has slowed the H/A's down. I didn't have H/A's during any of my pregnancies, but they always start right after. My guess is that you don't have them while you are pregnant because of the increased blood flow dilating you blood vessels, or maybe it is horomones. It almost makes you wish you could stay pregnant right now. I said almost! I know how hard it is to stop breastfeeding, I had to stop with my first child. My new baby will not take a bottle, so I am going to try to keep on doing it until I can't stand the pain anymore.
Please e-mail me and let me know how it goes.

Teresa
