You did very right. The 24-hours non-professionals have had more impact on despairing people then the professionals care to admit.
Organisations like the Samaritans (UK) and SOS-line (The Netherlands) are staffed by volunteers.
They work long hours and bring nothing to it but common sense and a warm heart.
Each to her own. I am not very good at dispensing love and kindness. I am glad you were there to do it on behalf of me - and the whole cluster community.
