You know, once aopn a time I nearly ended up in a similar sized box to your son. I do know where you are coming from. Back then my own parents were probably sorry they conceived me. I'm glad that given the breaks, I've managed to turn things completely around. Having CH since I was a teenager, was one of the reasons I went of the rails in the first place. I thank God that I graduated onto hallucinogenic drugs instead of smack, or speed. It was only by becoming PF for long periods of time that I was able to finally complete college. It was only by remaining PF that I was able to start myu own business. It was only by remaining PF in the longer term, that I was able to make that business a success. I have a lot to be thankful for, it could all have ended up so very different...
I was sad to learn that you have Hep C. That's a very cruel disease, and since you mention Chemo, I guess it must be quite advanced. I always think it is so much worse for seriously ill people to be afflicted with CH, on top of everything else. It really is the pits. I guess in your situation this prevents you from taking most drugs. Most drugs for anything. That is especially cruel. I know how it feels to have a limited choice in drugs, but to have none - that must bring on terrible feelings of dispair.
I hope things work out for your son. You were more correct than you knew when you said "my son is in a 6' X 12' box for 6 years for not much more than what your doing". I hope that one day he gets a break just like I did.
I agree that I was promoting the use of a controlled substance. You are 100% correct in that assertion. But I wasn't doing it to justify any bad habits. I was trying to help.
I enjoy a good debate as well. I hope that I didn't upset you in any way.
