I just remember how awful it tasted for hours. Didn't work very well for me. Have you tried Migranol? It's an ergotomine spray (use it twice in 15 min every 8 hours. It says (on the directions) it's not for preventative, but if you use it every 8 hours for several days, it worked about as good for me as DHE, but also tasted like UGHGGGG! But that part you can live over.
Apparently tho it isn't working real well for a lot of people. Don't see many using it. It did help me for a little while. Worth a try.
