John, with those symptoms, I'm just as surprised as you that the test came up negative. But all is not lost!

If you test positive, then you almost certainly have a chronic candida infection. The test works because there is yeast in your saliva. What you are seeing is the yeast at work. Just like when you add brewers yeast to home brew.

If you test negative, this only means that you do NOT have yeast present in your saliva.

In the same was as I didn't have sore knees until last year, the yeast might not have gotten into your saliva for whatever reason.

Also bear in mind, that other factors could be at work, and that you may test positive tomorrow. It might (and this is just an example) depend on what you ate the night before, or whether you used mouthwash the night before with an anti-fungal agent.

I really think you need to investigate this further. There are other tests, but you need to go to the doctor for those. He MUST inform the lab that they are testing for candida, otherwise they will ignore it's presence (the dirty bastards eh!). The other tests involve looking at your poops.

True that some others have also come up negative - but they are not symptomatic.

Please keep me informed.
