about 6 years ago... i had my shortest cycle. I am not
sure why... but this is what happened. I had two days of incredible
pain.... at that time, i had not the insurance...and didn't know it was
clusters is what was happening to me... but i did notice i would get them
every August time frame. Some years were worse than others. Time frame.
Well, the pain was beyond me.... and i went to the hospital where i got a
shot of something...went home and slept. THEN the next day, i go back to
the hospital... the ER told me if it happens again.. i need to go to my doc.
They gave me a shot.... I was so upset... and so the doc talked to me some.
He gave me a week's worth of pain killers... strong ones. And he thought it
was dehyrdation (it was ch's... but later we found out). Anyway, he suggested
i go home and drink so much i pee.... i did that for three days...with the pain
killers. After one week.... NO PAIN.. it was GONE.. Thank God!
however, i noticed last year... it wasn't soooo bad. For me, it seems more that
every other year.. or every third year, I pay the price of hell and beyond in my
CH sentence. So.... maybe this was just a easy year... which my neuro says is
his thoughts. Or you got lucky and they could taper off. Also, my neuro said this,
he said some people...especially women... as we get thru menapause (spelling?)... we
tend to have them LIGHTER... or they disapear. SO.... neuro did say it's a possibility.
And maybe you are one of those blessed ones. As my neuro said "for some of us, growing old
is a blessing!"... good luck...
