I am the only person I know who suffered from these demon headaches until I found this site a couple of days ago so I can't speak for others.
I have been cluster free for 12 years now. I endured the agony for 14 years, from age 18 to 32, I'm 44 now. My clusters didn't subside in intensity or frequency. I was having a typical episode and when it ended they never came back.
In my case I believe that diabetes may have played a part. I stopped having clusters about the same time as I found out that I had adult onset diabetes. Frankly, I'd rather have diabetes the rest of my life than to have one more CH.
