My daughters sometimes used to make me a hot cup of coffee to hold in my mouth next to the gumline
(which I find soothing) while I located and plugged in my hair dryer. Or perhaps they would
find the hair dryer for me. It seemed the sooner I started my self treatment, the sooner the attack would be over.
The girls knew it was better if they went ahead with their activities until the attack was over.
They were sorry I hurt but knew I was better off alone for the duration of the attack.
