I'm 3 weeks into my current episode. I finally persuaded my Doc to prescribe prednisone today. I'm looking forward to taking it, I hope it helps.
My episodes last about 6 weeks and come every 3 years. I've had them for the last 15 years. I discovered the wonder drug Imtrax 3 years ago. I cried with joy the first time I took it. I don't know how I coped with the pain for the years I had nothing to relieve the pain.
I am in the UK and have had to suggest to my Doctor what drugs he should prescribe, thanks to sites like this. I am using Oxygen and Imtrax with some success. I feel so sorry for fellow clusterheads who don;t have the resources to research different treatments and may be suffering more than they need to.
