With the exception of the duration of your pain, mine goes about an hour or less, you sound like me. If I use 02 alone, it aborts the headache but it's back within 15 minutes. I take 2 cafergot at the onset and then fire off the 02. The 02 aborts it, the cafergot seems to keep it from coming back. Some of the more knowledgeable types on the board can probably explain why it works, but it is almost 100% effective at stopping the beast. In addition, I;m episodic, usually twice a year spring and fall for 2 to 3 months. When on cycle I take 1200 mg lithium a day and this reduces both the incidence and the severity by about 70 percent.
