As a matter of fact I was thinking earlier this morning that I was missing Simon's posts.
This is a good post. Simon is a smart and reasonable man. If he says joining OUCH can benefit all of us, then you can believe it is true.
Look what Simon has done for us by making a beautiful UK site, and searching for oxygen equipment for us, and making a documentary for our hero, Dr. Goadsby.
And we can point with pride to our OUCH Web site which other headache groups have agreed to link to. Bob P is keeping everything in great order there. Plus we enjoy his personal site with our photos displayed.
Elaine and Todd have offered tremendous support with their site. A lot of people enjoy the chat and other features.
August is busy making a Web site featuring our art, poetry, etc. It is really going to be impressive.
We are a neat organization with a very serious mission. Last year Donna, Margaret G and Terry S along with help from many MB members spread the word about CH to doctors, insurance companies, etc. during Cluster Headache Awareness Week.
Several of us are still working on perfecting the CH questionnaire - the most comprehensive ever attempted.
Some people such as Susan are displaying their art work for sale and will share the profits with OUCH.
Ted and his crew do up the informative newsletter and offer OUCH brochures which we can share with others.
Flash and Pinky and Miguel, to name a few, have done some valuable research into alternative treatments for CH and have shared their findings with us.
There are so many of us out here with knowledge, talents, contacts, "ins" in various fields, bright ideas, and all with a great need for help.
If I left out the work of anyone please let me know so I can correct my error.
I can understand waiting for the new year to plunk out $25.00. Just set aside a dollar or two a day until then and let the membership applications come pouring in in January.
And please do not ever get the idea that this is an exclusive little group run by a few. It is run by a few only because others have not volunteered to help. We are not exclusive. OUCH wants you and your dedication.
