I had a severe reaction to depakote. Originally I was prescribed 250 mg two times daily to prevent a mild case of myoclonic seizures. I immediately experienced 24 hour-a-day headaches, and had two myoclonic seizures wihtin the first couple of days. My neurologist changed me to dilantin within a week, which caused a roaring in my ears, and tremors. He then removed me from the dilantin and placed me on Depakote 125 mg three times daily. Within 1-1/2 days, although the headaches did not return, I broke out in a rash and began severe tremors. The ER gave me Benedryl by IV, and prescribed Benedryl therapy for the next 3 days and removal from Depakote. It has now been 5 days since this incident and I still have tremors of my right hand. I would like to advise the manufacturer of my problems but cannot find a direct email line to them for reporting problems. Anyone know how I can report this to them?
