Your comments reminded me of many, many attacks over the years.
Always the same pattern.
Unmistakeable twinge that shows up in all the wrong places - bed, the workplace, weddings, etc.
Sense of foreboding accompanied by some foolish hope that this one might be diferent.
Resignation that the war has started and into
Survival mode.
The world becomes an excruciatingly gloomy place for a few hours.
