Cheryl, the experiences your significant other
is going through are documented in many ways.
There appears to be a very strong relationship between
CH and depression. The linking aspect of it
appears to be the commonality of serotonin and their
role in the psychological process. I am sure that
you are aware of this, or at least have heard about it.
The issue with a suicidal state must be addressed
at the proffesional level immediately, even if it
has to come out of your pocket.

One thing that I have found that helped me, as well
as other non-virtual sufferers is a sudden and
exciting change, as in distraction therapy.
For instance, a friend of mine suffering tremendous
attacks got them to stop in their tracks by
taking up skydiving. I did it by taking up
windsurfing. It seems that a sudden change of
emotions and events may play an important role
in depression, as well as CH. I am not suggesting
that your significant other drop everything
and go do one of the two activities above mentioned.
Never the less, I am sure that there are activities out there
that may parallel the rush provided by the above
examples, and possibly help.

Additionally, you may have noticed on the board
some of the most essoteric therapeutic approaches to
CH management, namely shrooms/LSD. I am not
recommending that this is done. However, I would
recomend that the data available in this board from
the fellow sufferers that underwent such creative
therapy, and the ensuing positive therapeutic results
would allow for a second look, probably serious cosiderations
and even particiaption. If the last is the undeniable
conclusion, there are plenty of fellow sufferers
in this board, with enough practical experience
to help you guys through every single step of the
therapeutic process. Above all, do not loose
hope. I feel that you are in very good hands among
the people of this board. I urge you to contact
them, i.e.: e-mail and give serius considerations
to their input as soon as possible.

Miguel
