I've had this done if the complete name is radiofrequency trigeminal rhizotomy.
I was in much the same state as your husband. It's an "experience" to go through but
it seemed to lessen the severity and number of attacks. I'm still on 480mg of Verapamil
daily and take other drugs for heavy duty shadows. Also o2 when needed. In my case I
believe it saved my life. Doesn't get rid of CH but it becomes bearable and I'm doing well
all things considered. I hope it works as well for you guys.
