2 possible reasons:
One of the functions of the hypothalamus is body temperature regulation. Because the hypo is involved in the CH process, maybe even the cause, it would reason that the body temp would go whacko.
The othe reason could be the dialation of blood vessels near the surface of the skin. Ch pain is due to dialtion of blood vessels.
