I also suffer from debilitating migraines along with seizure disorder. I have recieved stadol IM (shot) in the Dr's office and it does wonders for the migraines. Within 20 mins the pain is completly gone. My Dr prescribed stadol ns also, it is nothing like the shot-for me anyway. All it does is make me very on edge. No pain relief, ny insurance didn't cover it and I had to pay $95 for one ns. I've heard it works well with others, but for me I wont waste my money again. They say stadol is habit forming, maybe it is, but I find that hard to believe. I've been given shots of everything from imitrex to demorol and morphine for migraines. Imitrex was like water for me-absolutly nothing. I found I was allergic to demorol and morphine makes me very "spacey" I did not like that feeling at all. I've had 8 injections of stadol in the last year and a half, they take away the pain completly, I have no side effects. No feeling spacey, and no rebound ha's. Injection is definatly different from ns.
