I suffer Clusters and migraines. Quite different beasts. My Dr. has now availible at his clinic a new treatment for me to try when I get a long (2-4 week migraine with several clusters added to it.) I forgot the name of med combination but this is how it works. I go in get my breathing, heart and B.P. monitered and have an IV with some new meds in it that will put me under like a general anesthesia for about 20 minutes. The theory is that it allows the brain to sorta reset and the studys by the pain treament board that has discovered it has shown some very good sucess with a fairly long time between attacks. I hope I don't have to try it as I am doing very well with my current meds. But I still sometimes get these long bouts of migraine which usually increases the number of cluster attacks. I'll let you know how it works if I try it. By the way my Dr. is an anesthesiologist so I trust him to put me under. Thanks Mike L.
