I'm a chronic and my neuro has me on 1,000mg depakote and just raised me from 50 to 100mg Topamax. The 1,000 & 50 combo kept me in shadows with with them hiting the #4-6 with a #10 only once or twice a month. This is my worst time of the year and they have been crepping up in the last last month so last week he increased the topamax for the 1,000 & 100 combo. Last nite I was comletly pain free for first time in months, though I know that wont last. You are very tired at first on these meds but work through it and it will pass. I tried just the depakote in the past but didn't work, needed the combo.
