Oxygen has been a Godsend for my husband. Make sure you see if you can get a prescription from your neuro. If taken early enough in the attack, it will abort 80% of the time.
Also, try Dramamine at bedtime for him - it may help him sleep through the night.
Mike uses ice bags on the back of his neck at the beginning of the attack and this helps him to keep calm through it.
