Dear Bonnie: I took Topamax for my seizures and it was very effective. I did have some minor trouble with it but my Dr. said about 15% of those who take it have some reaction to it. I found it fairly benign in smaller doses so give it a shot. All it did to me was make my ears ring. I wish your husband the best of luck.- - Charlie S
