Well, at least we don't have to spit for this one.
To test your theory about differences in perceptions,
I would make a stripe with a blue marker. Subsequently,
I would mix the marker with other blue markers of
different shades, and ask people to pick which marker
resembles the color of the stripe the most. In such manner
we could determine with some degree of accuracy which
shade of blue each person sees, and ddoes it compare
to what we see.
