I could never run without getting a pain in the back or head, also jumping, etc. Nobody could ever tell me why, until I was diagnosed with a spinal problem and underwent extensive surgery last year (cervical), removing pressure from the spinal channel, grafting 2 new disks, fusing 3 vertebrae. It was clear then that any vigorous physical exercise would cause pain incld. headache, there is an artery running up our spine, too, which was also compressed (supplying the brain w. blood). If you find any relief in a forward bending posture i.e. biking, then you may have a spinal stenosis. We all have multiple triggers, some more in one area than another one, in your case it's certainly worth seeing a very good orthopaedic doc. to take a good look at your spine - if it's not done yet - and be careful with the weight lifting!!!
Good luck, viv.
