I use a fairly high dose of methadone each day. Since I have only used it as prescribed I have never been "High from it". I have gone completly of of it twice to try other meds to see if they work. I was warned by several heroin addicts that it wouldn't matter that I was using it as prescibed, It would be a living hell to go off of. Doing it the way the Dr. prescribed I had no withdrawals or cravings whatsoever for the drug. I think that I am the addictive type because I always use to go to extremes on everthing I did, work, play you name it. Sometimes when feeling well I have missed as many as 3 days without remebering to take the meds. I only noticed it because my attacks got more frequent. Perhaps I am just lucky but I think having a Dr. and wife involved in every step has helped greatly. Thanks MIKE L.
