I hadn't heard that but verapamil used to be my most effective prophylactic. It stopped working after about a year and at that point I wasn't aware that my doctor could/should have upped the dosage. I was using the SR this time and each time it was upped I only had maybe a few weeks of benefit from each dose. I too am interested to see if there is something to what you ask.
