Tegretol is a well known medication for trigemenal neuralgia.
It is very easy to mix up trig. neur. and cluster headache. The descriptions look a lot alike.
I know, for I was first misdiagnosed as having trig. neur.
If you have clusters Tegretol will not work for you.
If you have trig. neur. it will (usually) work. In both cases it will leave you woozy and dull.
I think it is of the first importance you get your diagnosis right.
