hehe..I said balls. No really..I have so much tension in my neck/head that it used to look like I was permanent shrug. And I hated massages because my shoulders felt like two huge bruises. I'm a dancer and in my college dance department, the teachers got all these small toy rubber balls and showed us how to used them for massage/loosening up joints. Basically you just roll around on it. You put it on whatever point hurts (right under base of skull and along the spine and under the pelvis, probably, in your case)and either roll around slowly on it or just lie still on it. Takes a while for your muscles to finally release and might actually feel sore at first, but when they do..oh boy. Sounds maybe over-simplified, but it's really good stuff. There's actually a whole technique, developed by a dancer who was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis. Her doc told her she wouldn't be able to dance much longer, and she said NO WAY. She was in her thirties then..now she's in her 60's or 70's and still dancing, and she attributes it to the work she did with the balls (heheeeee). This just goes to show what a brillian student I was..I can't remember the woman's name. Real credible-soundin' huh? Well..maybe won't completely fix ya, but it sure feels good/can't hurt/is cheap.
Good luck :)
Natalie
