I'm not quite sure why Advil should work!

First of all, I don't think my CH problem is as consistently severe as other sufferers.

Second,I take it as a preventative; if I waited till I felt a headache coming on, there's no way ibuprofen would touch it.

Third, it doesn't always work. I find it dulls the pain to 2-3 headaches a day at a manageable level (in other words, I'm not rolling on the floor groaning and squeezing the left side of my head), but every week a handful of these headaches still refuse to be suppressed. Getting through nights is especially problematic, and in these 'minicycles' when my headaches are more severe then of course stopping the middle of the night attacks is impossible.

I take Advil simply because my doctors haven't understood my pain and haven't given me anything more potent. Maybe it's because I'm small, I don't know, but somehow the Advil keeps my life from being a living hell of 6 headaches a day.
