Technically your membership would expire on Jan 1, 2001. It was originally set up this way to keep book keeping to a minimum. However, there is a motion before the Board to make all memberships good for 12 from the date you join. It is in review right now and will be voted on Dec 1. It has strong backing and should pass with no trouble. It will be retroactive for all members.
