I have vivid dreams during my cycles, and I think the reason I am so aware of them is the fact that the REM sleep cycle triggers my headaches. This means that first of all, I wake up during the dream, so I have complete recall, and second, as the cycle continues, I become more and more sleep deprived. Even if I get short periods of sleep throughout the night, it is not quality sleep. When you are constantly awaked during your REM time, you become a little psychotic, and when you do begin to dream, the dreams become more and more bizarre. (IMHO)
