medication for a lot of people. But a short tapered dose can help break the cycle for many people. I tried this and had no side effects. My sister has been on this for months. She does have side effects, but she would not have survived without it (she had Giant Cell or Temporal Arteritis that requires high doses for a long time. The greatest of her worries was not her appearance, but the fear of loss of bone density;
she takes medication to try to prevent that.)
