I wrote this in response to someone else, but my own history with severe clusters came to an abrupt and permanent end after exhausting all meds and treatments; neurologists were of no help. In total exasperation, the last neurologist I saw flippantly mentioned that they were also known as histamine headaches. Somewhat derisively he mentioned that I might want to try over-the-counters like SineOff or SineAid, which are anti-histamines. Clusters forced me to try EVERYTHING to find even momentary relief ... my headaches ended within weeks. That was twenty years ago. I was lucky.
